California born and raised Katie grew up as a small town country girl where she spent the better part of her childhood riding horses and taking care of her best bunny friends, Prince Charming and Snow White. Before long her family relocated to the suburbs of Los Angeles where she dove headfirst into the world of entertaining. Katie learned everything about being a hostess from her sweet southern raised great grandparents who had a true talent for making all guests feel like family. True socialists who would have given Martha Stewart a run for her money. After graduating Katie started her career working in the entertainment industry where she had the pleasure of working at one of the biggest movie studios in the world and was fortunate to be involved in the planning of major events around the world. She was responsible for putting together everything from red carpet premieres, corporate events and conventions for thousands of people. When it came time to plan her own wedding in 2010 she found the part of event planning she was truly passionate about; putting a personal touch on an event where the guests came as friends and left as family. Her wedding was written about and featured in magazines and websites and with some not-so-subtle encouragement from her husband family and friends, Katie realized that she could be a part of these special events for other people too, and Katie Rebecca Events was born.When Katie isn’t planning events or dreaming up inspiration she can be found at a local Starbucks, shopping at Jcrew and spending time with her Husband, their one year old Son, and their two Siberian Huskies in San Francisco.

Katie is the bubbly, sweet as can be incredibly talented photographer on the Katie Rebecca Events team. While photography is her full time business now, this was not always the case. Katie studied musical theater at New York University and was given the honor of going on tour with the musical Fiddler On The Roof! After touring all over Northern America, the life of a traveling actress was not quite as strong as her desire to be with the man she adores with all her might and start a family. They set out for California and shortly after the sweetest baby in the world arrived and so did the photographs. Her calling to get back into her passion and become a newborn and child photographer grew right along with her daughter. Katie Rain Photography has been capturing Katie Rebecca Events from the very beginning and brings such a high level of style, beauty and personality to every single event which truly captures the story that’s being told. Katie’s style is a hybrid between lifestyle and modern portraiture and while she has found her niche with children, she also does family portraits, life events and weddings. When Katie is not behind the lens you can find her enjoying a cup of coffee (Starbucks Pike Place), changing a diaper, reading in bed or shopping at Anthropologie! Katie lives in Marin with her husband Jamie and their darling little girl, Ayla.
Samantha Monge | Dahlias and Dragonflies
Samantha is the owner and head designer at Dahlias and Dragonflies, a marin home town girl and has a megawatt smile that just makes you beam and giggle right back. Her energy is contagious and everything she touches has a fresh and vibrant look and feel to it. Katie Rebecca Events is incredibly lucky to have Dahlias and Dragonflies as the talent behind the florals. Samantha has had the best of the best schooling and courses including being a graduate from Parsons School of Design, taking an intensive two month bridal course at Jane Packer and studied at Paula Pryke and Judith Blacklock. Her work has been seen gracing fashion runway shows and was published in The Knot magazine. Dahlias and Dragonflies complete the Katie Rebecca Events team family and is the perfect finishing touch to our story lines. Samantha lives in Marin with her adoring husband Mike and their incredibly handsome little boy and another on the way!
Ben Lillywhite | SunnySide Catering & Biscuits
The second you meet Ben you can feel it in your bones, this guy knows food. Really really fantastic food. Did we say fantastic? We meant FANTASTIC!! Specializing in hand-made biscuits and Southern cuisine, SunnySide Catering & Biscuits provides you and your guests with some delicious southern hospitality. Based in Oakland, CA, Ben has experience in baking and intimate events and will cater from 10-100 persons. As if that’s not great enough they also make packaged biscuits (fresh or frozen) that are available at small Oakland grocers. Some types of events SunnySide has catered and produced include: Underground dinner parties, wine & beer tasting dinners, weddings, block parties, festivals, brunches, corporate lunches, and bar pop-ups. Ben has worked with Katie Rebecca Events in creating fun, crowd friendly foods for some very elegant and fun occasions–and now they both are looking forward to taking your event to the next level as well. SunnySide Catering & Biscuits takes pride in using only sustainably raised meats and seafood; and local, seasonal vegetables.

Mille Parole is more than just a photography company it’s about the experiance and the wonderful story being told behind it. Joel and Katie (as fate would have it) have a story all their own- “Katie and I met through a mutual friend and it was love at first hug. We quickly found out that we were raised in the same hometown, went to the same school and shared the same passion for the creative arts. It was a natural progression, but still I am very honored to be associated with Katie Rebecca Events. Katie has such a simple and elegant style which lends to being such an easy and enjoyable subject to photograph. His work mostly concentrates on scenery, travel and the arts but he equally lends his talent to portrait photography which makes him an invaluable part of the team for our styling shoots and large scale events. When Joel is not behind the lens he can be found traveling the world backpacking, rock climbing and enjoying divine food with his gorgeous fiancee Sariah. The two live in San Francisco and are planning their upcoming wedding (insert lots giddy excitment and clapping here).
